Street Party

Our street is throwing a great block party tonight! Evidently they do it every year. It's a lot more elaborate than I expected. They have a tent set up just outside our house with a band. They're playing good old American music like Jeremiah was a bullfrog and the summer of '69 song. Lots of people are dancing. The Canadians have a barbecue going and there's lots of other food and drinks. The moosemilk (an alcoholic drink courtesy of the Canadians) seems to be the highlight. There is even a big inflatable thing set up for the kids to jump in. Christian and I went for a little while, but he was pretty tired. He walked behind his stroller almost the entire time we were out there. He stoppped only to try to throw or eat rocks, play with the other kids bikes and play with a couple of dogs. He's sleeping peacefully now. A nice German lady named Monique offered to babysit him anytime.
